Old Picture
This exercise was a restoration. We had take an old photo and fix it. This was done in Photoshop using a series of tools including the cone stamp tool and the lasso tool. This is a photo that had been sitting in a frame for a while and had some wear and tear over the years.
Baseball Card
This was a baseball card my teacher found on the floor at a sports card convention. Our job was to use the clone stamp and copy and pasting to restore it to mint condition. In mint condition, this is worth about $500.00.
Two Half Match
While doing this exercise, we learned that many celebrity pictures are not real. Photoshop is used to edit the picture. Our goal was to use tools in photoshop to match the left half with the right half.
Gallery
For this exercise, we had to take the picture of the gallery and insert the picture of the women into the frames on the wall. There we certain tools we had to use to do this, including lasso tool and the distort tool.
Reflection
This was inspired by the photographer Eric Johansson, who also relies on Photoshop for many of his projects. For this one, we had to reflect the image of the building and sky onto the ground. We then added a drop shadow to make it seem as though there is a glass road on top of the cobblestone. We took pieces out and set them aside to make it look like the street is being built.
Celebrity Fix-up
This was another exercise to practice editing someone's looks using Photoshop. This is how professionals edit pictures of celebrities.
Celebrity Fix-up Part 2
We did the same thing for this exercise as the one above.
Soldiers
This was also a restoration exercise. We had to take this old picture and bring back its color and quality using many different tools in Photoshop.
Changing Pixel by Pixel
For this exercise, the goal was to fix the original picture pixel by pixel. We manipulated the color of each pixel, restoring its original color.
